Door to Door (nDPD) Project

nDPD (from doors to doors) On the 23rd November, our highly anticipated project, nDPD, came to pass, and I have the awesome privilege to share to you how it went! Planning for the event was crucial because NEVER did we have this many people register to be at the event!

With the help of our brethren in the Vilnius congregation, we arranged who would be responsible for the food, places where everyone could find rest for the night, and for the actual evangelism.

During the church service on Sabbath, the room was full. The young people got involved in singing and presenting a poem, as well as leading the packed Sabbath School class for the English speakers. Then, after the fitting and awakening sermon by Robertas, we all gathered at Vaidas and Lukas’ place for lunch – a total of 20 people were present! and we were all blessed by God through chefs from the Vilnius congregation.

We organised ourselves into pairs, mapped out where we were all going to go, and at 15:00 our door to door work began. Thank you to Pastor Bertoldas for leading by example by joining us in the door to door evangelism. There were those who took part in door to door evangelism for the first time, and by God’s grace they also had their testimonies to share. Not one person raised a complaint. There was unity. We were blessed! What a great Sabbath indeed.

Finishing at around 18:15 on Saturday, we all travelled to home to testify of how good the Lord was during the work – alongside VERY delicious food, of course.

Sunday morning was the time to regenerate energy and spiritual strength through hymns, a devotional, and also a filling breakfast. Three more people joined us from Kaunas.

Following the evangelism on Sunday, God provided another testimony… we had planned from the beginning to have some lunch together at a cheap restaurant, and as we were so focused and busy on the evangelism, we didn’t book/reserve a place. On the way back from finishing door to door work, at 13:30, God reminded me to call the place and ask whether anything would be free in the next 30 mins; providentially, the restaurant was ready to accept 17 people, right at 14:00. We came, the table was delicately set up for us, we enjoyed the food and the sharing of each others testimonies, and thereafter I was able to gift a Vilties Šaltinis and Urvinis Žmogus to one of the receptionists, and the other receptionist alongside her was interested in health, and thus, I gave her the last Nauja Gyvenimo Pradžia that I had in my bag on the way out.

Over 1200 doors were knocked on, and approximately 55 contacts and people who we are planning to visit again have been noted of.

There are many many prayers needed for the workers and ministers in Vilnius who have the calling to now go and visit these people; and furthermore, for the people themselves.

The money allotted to this project by the conference and the congregation in Vilnius was used towards the deliciously made food, the travel to get to Vilnius, and the books used for distribution.

Thank you to all who prayed – the Lord answered! Onto the next, in Klaipėda! With brotherly love, Lukas
