    Coaching for Spiritual Growth

We live in the information age – all the answers to our questions seems to be just one click away, and it can happen that if parents do not know the answer to a child’s question then Google does. In such a time of history, the art of asking good questions becomes more important than ever before. When people are “bombarded” with a constant flow of information, they tend to grasp just some points of something, and “digging deeper” becomes increasingly difficult. Good questions, rightly asked seem to have the ability to stop us in our everyday hustle and bustle, and make us think deeply about some important issues of…

  • Communication Leaders Meet in Slovenia

Rogaška Slatina, Slovenia. Last month about 50 communication leaders from Trans-European and Euro-Africa Divisions met in Slovenia to discuss communication strategies and usage of modern technologies to communicate our message of hope to those who don’t know Christ yet. The meeting was opened by the Trans-European Division Communication (TED) department leader Miroslav Pujic, but then it had unnusual twist — all participants were brought to the lake Bled where at the foot of the Alp mountains and brightly green-blue lake Mike Ryan (General Conference Vice-president) preached sermon about the “big living” according to Jesus. One of the most interesting insights into the postmodernity was shared by Michael Dabrowski (General Conference).…

  • Komunikāciju vadītāji tiekas Slovēnijā

Rogaška Slatina, Slovēnija. Pagājušajā mēnesī 50 komunikāciju nodaļas vadītāji no Adventistu Baznīcas Trans-Eiropas (TED) un Eiro-Āfrikas (EAD) reģioniem tikās Slovēnijā, lai apspriestu komunikāciju stratēģiju un moderno tehnoloģiju pielietojumu misijas darbā, sniedzot Jēzus Kristus cerības vēsti cilvēkiem, kas vēl nepazīst Kristu. Sanāksmi atklāja Adventistu Baznīcas Trans-Eiropas reģiona komunikāciju departamenta vadītājs Miroslavs Pujičs, bet pēc tam sekoja interesants pārsteigums — visus konferences dalībniekus autobusā aizveda uz Bled ezeru, kur Alpu kalnu pakājē un koši zilzaļa ezera krastā klātesošie varēja noklausīties Maika Rajena (Ģenerālkonference) svētrunu “Dzīve ar vērienu” saskaņā ar Jēzus mācību. Interesantu ieskatu postmodernismā sniedza Maikls Dabrovskis (Ģenerālkonference). “Informācijas laikmets atnesa universālās pateisības galu. To aizvietoja subjektīvā patiesība, un zināma veida tukšums.…
